The Senior Social Worker delivers high level clinical social work services and act as a resource/advisory person in the area of Rehabilitation within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

The aim of the Rehabilitation Unit is to provide patients and their families with holistic, person-centred, evidence based care using a multidisciplinary approach.

Competitive salary and benefits:

  • Salary between $4912.70 to $5286.40 per fortnight (HP4).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity:

This position will deliver high level clinical social work services and act as a resource/advisory person in the area of Rehabilitation within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

This position will exercise day-to-day leadership to a team of social workers and work closely within a multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualification and registration or membership (if applicable).
  • Roster: This position may be required to work on-call weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis through the Social Work Department's Clinical on-call service. This service requires thirty-minute response time.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role.
  • A probationary period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
