About the work unit / facility

The Central Sterilising Department (CSD) at Townsville University Hospital plays a vital role in ensuring the safe reprocessing of reusable medical devices across surgical, oral health, and ward-based services. The team also supports other CSDs within Townsville HHS.

Nurse Grade 1 Band 2: $71,234 – $73,319 p.a. / $35.92 – $36.97 p.h.

About your opportunity

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will support sterilisation processes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and contributing to patient safety across TUH.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
  • Vaccination requirements as per Queensland Health policy
  • Ability to work all shifts as rostered
